![]() ![]() Thank you for letting a girl feel normal. Most are not nearly as pleasant as these two were. They even checked the nutrition information for me on some of the toppings they offered to see if they could add any flavor. It was a 7:50 showing, they had probably already cleaned the machine, but didnt hesitate to say yes. The gentleman at the concession stand was extremely nice and called his manager when I asked if they would be willing to pop some popcorn without salt for me. I have a heart condition that does not allow me to have hardly any sodium. Its sad for such a beautiful place to be so horrible. Im very very disappointed and upset about how much we spent compared to the experience and treatment. There is NO reason to charge such ridiculously high prices for a medium experience! My popcorn price SHOULD have been refunded! I dont see any reason to ever go there again. The prices charged are completely OUT OF CONTROL to put it nicely. Thats VERY unacceptable! When I pay $50 total dollars to go to a movie I am expecting much better. My FAV part of the movie is the popcorn and it was STALE and cold. While the movie picture was fine, the sound quality was AWFUL! The floors were dirty. Sorry valley view, cant get around your prices. Were you get popcorn, drink, candy for six dollars. But like I said, for a town this small, the prices are wayyyyy to high, and I always sneak in my snacks, at every movie theater, unless its $6 dollar Tuesday at tanglewood mall. ![]() I like the old fashion outside look, and the lazy boy sofas chair, but will make you fall asleep the minute you sit in them. The only reason I would ever go to valley view is because the movie isnt playing anywhere else, so I have no choice. Ive been here going on 2+ years, came from NYC, and those are the prices they charge there. Even though is father away, doesnt matter, valley view prices, dont make sense. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to expensive, I always go to Tanglewood. If, however, you want a trial-run for that new blood-pressure medication- my friend, have I got a theater for you. And not only did the pre-pubescent little prigs occupying all 3 rows behind us talk nonstop during the movie, but when we talked to the staff they shrugged and said "yeah, their parents buy them tickets and then leave." So, look, if you want to watch a movie with grown-ups, without having to thank the guy next to you for ALSO saying, "hey kids, quiet down" this isnt the place. Who lets 20 eight year olds in to see It? We didnt pay to see Finding Nemo (though given anyones psychological hangups with abandonment, if MAY be the scarier film), we paid to see a horror flick eating expensive pop corn without our seats getting kicked or our nerves tested. We tried to see "It," but there were, and I counted, over twenty CHILDREN in the audience. ![]() After multiple bad experiences here I am officially done giving this place chances after todays events. And on top of all that their seats are so old that they make the most obnoxious squeaking noise whenever anyone moves. Also halfway through the movie the light in the projector room came on and remained on which was very disruptive. It is beyond rude to interrupt and inconvenience other patrons who made it on time for those who did not. When my family was late to a movie we knew we would have to sit separately. A worker then came in and began to yell that everyone needed to scoot in towards the middle so they can sell more tickets and so a family of 4 could sit together. After getting to the movie early and selecting seats, the lights dimmed and the previews started. Individuals, businesses, and organizations from Virginia’s Blue Ridge region (which includes the counties of Botetourt, Franklin, and Roanoke, the cities of Roanoke and Salem) are eligible, as are past Kendig Award recipients from 1985 – 2012.The actual worst theater in Roanoke. ![]()
